Here is a heads up for those who would want to attend their highschool reunions: never ever call attention to the fact that you're single and unmarried, especially if you're nearing thirty and two out of three people attending are married, engaged or dating.
I do not intend to take this opportunity to offer an explanation regarding my current status. It doesn't need any explaining anyway. And no matter what I say, no one will believe me.
Anyway, the main point of this entry is the reunion I attended last Saturday.
Thirteen years after we left BSU Highschool for the real world, a good number of former classmates came together last May 30, 2009, at the BSU RSDC Canteen for an afternoon of reminiscing, laughter and catching up on each others' lives. O, and did I mention, praying for love to come to those who are still seeking.
Seeing the faces of people whom you have spent four memorable years with, hearing their laughter, marveling at how they have or have not changed physically, learning of their life stories and having your former professors speak about how proud they are of everyone - - it was indeed a blissful experience for the soul.
Our exchange of email addresses and cellphone numbers could be a channel for us to rediscover friendships this time as grown-ups and possibly elevate relationships from being former classmates to "friends".
We intend to come together again after five years. This time we are hoping those overseas could join us and then the party could last til dawn.
